Asbury Home Services is the result of a long tradition of service to older adults. The Asbury story began in 1926 on a former dairy farm in Gaithersburg, Md., as a home for the indigent aged. Through the years, Asbury has grown into the 15th-largest system of not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the nation. In 1994, the Board of Directors of Asbury Methodist Village established Asbury Communities, Inc., and the Asbury Foundation, Inc., to help expand its mission. Two years later, Asbury Solomons was created, followed by Bethany Village in 1999, Springhill in 2001 and Inverness Village in 2003.

All five Asbury communities are nationally-accredited Continuing Care Retirement Communities, offering residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory support. As a whole, Asbury serves more than 3,500 residents and employs 2,200 in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma.

In 2012, Asbury created a new subsidiary, Asbury Home Services, to deliver in-home services and care both to residents of its communities and in surrounding areas. Asbury Home Services is committed to providing quality care and support to everyone it serves.
